Disneyland Trip

Maryam and Mommy getting ready to board the tram to leave. We had a very nice day. There were millions of people there though! We had totally forgot that it is spring break time! DUH. We only went on two rides and only spent a few hours there, we didn't want to push our luck since there were so many people there.

Today we're heading down to San Marcos for Maryam's second to last Synagis shot. I'm less than excited about it. But so far they have worked! So I can't complain too much. I just know with Maryam not feeling well that the car ride is going to be miserable for her. We took her back to the doctor on Saturday morning because we couldn't get her fever to break, she has yet another ear infection. This morning is the first time in days where she hasn't had a fever. I hope that means that the antibiotics are working. Her doctor says that her allergies make her sinuses drain and hers tend to drain into her ears, which causes her ear infections. So, as long as she has allergies and her sinus drains the way it does, this is going to be a pretty regular occurrence. We're starting to reconsider the tubes.

Tigger's a whole other story!

So, we're standing in line to take photos with the characters at Pooh Corner, when Maryam goes nuts trying to get to Tigger! He noticed the crazy spazzy baby and waved at her. She was so happy she just kept waving at him!

For those of you who have been around Maryam when she gets excited about anything, you've seen this before. She goes nuts and tries to climb up whomever is holding on to her! Its as if she just can't contain herself and has to crawl on top of you! This is what she was doing in the above photo. She was cracking up!

Here's a cute family photo with Tigger. Maryam got all bashful on him. She's been doing that more and more lately. Its cute because she's so sweet when she does it.

This is my favorite part of going to Dland, watching Maryam on The Jungle Cruise. She enjoys it so much and gets very excited. Her excitement is contagious and her laughter is music to my ears.

Our first ride on Sunday was Peter Pan....Maryam LOVED it! She pointed at everything and said, "oooh" A LOT!

A prince and a princess

OK, so one would think getting two babies to sit on a bench while we take their picture wouldn't be so hard, yeah right! The above picture is the, No Thanks Picture.

In this photo Maryam is pointing at Aidan as to say, Hey You! Smile! And he's looking at her like, NO!

In this one they must have seen or heard something funny, because they're both smiling and laughing about something! Too bad neither is looking at a camera!

More Disneyland Photos

Here are Maryam and Charlie right when we got to Disneyland.

Here is Charlie and Maryam holding hands, pulling each other's arms, reaching for hair/hat and playing with each other's strollers.

Here is Maryam playing with her Minnie Mouse balloon that Daddy bought her. It eventually flew away because the string around the base of the balloon got loose. Bummer. They didn't have another Minnie Mouse balloon when we went back later, so we ended up getting her a Disney Princesses balloon to replace it. Thankfully we didn't have to pay for another ballon.

Mommy and Maryam on the carousel. This was Maryam's first time on the carousel and she handled it pretty well. She looked up at the ceiling and watched the poll go up and down. I think it sort of made her dizzy though! You can see that she's leaning into me, she does that when she gets scared on rides. She leans in for a few seconds, then is fine again.
You may have noticed that we changed her clothes too. We had a milk-tastraphy. During her 1pm meal, the plunger in the syringe came out and milk went EVERYWHERE! She couldn't sit in her stroller for hours.

Maryam got to experience Disneyland without oxygen! It was definitely nicer for Mommy and Daddy not to have to wear an oxygen backpack!
We made a decision this morning to go to Disneyland for the day. Auntie Sarah, Charlie Mae and Yaya came too! Dan, Marcy, Aidan and Alisdair met up with us later on. We all had a wonderful time together.
