Cute as can be, but still uncomfortable

Isn't Maryam just so sweet? We're still having trouble getting her to eat. Mostly, she just doesn't want to! And when I try to feed her she SCREAMS and pulls at her head, turns beat red and tucks her legs up to her torso. I've called her docs everyday since she's been home and we even took her in on Sunday and they've all said that its just her body adjusting to her new anatomy. But it genuinely breaks my heart to see her in so much pain. BUT, like everything else we've been through, we'll get through this too!!!! She's quite the little fighter.

As you can see, once the pain subsides, Maryam is back to her usual happy self. It takes about and hour and a half to two hours, but once the discomfort is gone, she's my happy baby with her big gummy smile again!

Its hard to tell from this picture, but her incision looks GREAT! There is no pinkness or infection anywhere. If only she'd stop grabbing at her tube or her syringe, we wouldn't need to put so much tape on it!
