Happy Election Day!!

Brett and I took Maryam with us to the polls. I figured, it's a historical election, she should get to be part of the action. The nice ladies taking the ballots gave her 3 or 4 "I Voted" stickers to play with. Mommy being Mommy put them on Maryam's cheeks and she in turn put one on my face too.
The STRANGEST part of the whole experience was when we walked into the office to vote 3 or 4 high school teenagers recognized Maryam from her blog (Thanks Mr. Collins) and from knowing Mrs. McGrorty. I always forget how strange that feeling is until it happens.

I know it has been a few days since I have updated the blog and there are reasons, Maryam had an ear infection and consequently had a fever and a bout of neediness to go with it. We took her to the doctor on Monday and she was prescribed an antibiotic and already feels a lot better. She had stopped drinking any water, probably because it hurt to swallow and now she's back up to a full Honey Bear Cup a day. w00t! The second reason is because I have had a bad addiction to election coverage. HOPEFULLY my addiction will go away now that the election is over.

In an off topic note, I'm going to be out of town for a few days. One of my cousins tragically died of a heart attack on Monday. Anna, Julie and Jason, my heart goes out to you guys. I'll keep you in my prayers and I know many of my readers will too.

So sorry to hear about your cousin. Your family will be in our prayers.
