NICU Visit

Here are Kathy, Hinda, Olivia and Kim. Just some of the wonderful women who helped nurse Maryam to health. (And keep Mommy & Daddy sane!) Kathy is the NICU clerk, Hinda started at the NICU while Maryam was a resident, Olivia is RAD and Kim is one of the Charge Nurses in the unit.

This is Dr. Schneider. We LOVE him. He is the head Neonatologist in the NICU. This poor guy is the guy that had to come deliver all the bad news to Brett and me before Maryam was even born. Then he had the unfortunate job of continuing to give us bad news after Maryam was born. BUT then, he had the privilege to give us all kinds of GREAT news for the 5 month duration of Maryam's NICU stay.
How funny is this picture? He's all cuddled up and she has a total look of reluctance. Hopefully he doesn't take it personally! One day she'll be able to tell everyone Thank You personally. But until then, Thank You to you all!

Maryam's visit to the Optometrist and Ophthalmologist went REALLY well! Believe it or not, her vision has improved slightly! Hooray! She went from +5.5 & +5.75 to +5 in both eyes. Its VERY slight and there is no visible difference to Maryam. However, he did decide to hold off on prescribing glasses for at least another 4 months. Hooray for Mommy and Daddy! We have a hard enough time trying to keep Maryam's cannula on her, we had no idea how we were going to manage to keep glasses on her face.
