9 Months Adjusted

Today Maryam is officially 9 months old adjusted! Hooray! For those of you who aren't quite sure what that means, even after reading this blog since July, here is a quick reminder. Maryam was due March 22, 2007, so we calculate her adjusted age based on her due date. So, had she been born when she was supposed to (little over achiever) she'd be 9 months old today! Weird huh? Considering we celebrated her 1st birthday 2 weeks ago! LOL!

And even though Amanda says not to put Maryam in her jumperoo, I did and she LOVES it too!

This is an interesting story. Just a few days ago I wrote about how Charlie mirrors Maryam but Maryam doesn't mirror Charlie...Well, guess what? She has NEVER leaned over and put anything in her mouth before spending time with Charlie last week! Charlie will put ANYTHING in her mouth and Maryam must have picked up on it. Daddy put her present down in front of her and her first reaction was to lean over and bite it! HOORAY! I know most of you wouldn't want your babies to put their presents in their mouth, but I encourage it! Usually she doesn't want anything in her mouth, so this is a HUGE step for her.

And then we had her sit on her present to see how her balance is. She did good. She sat there for a few minutes before we took her off and put her back on the floor where if she fell, she couldn't hurt herself!
